Understanding the Needs of Children and Families Exposed to Parental Substance Use Disorder

Description

This training focuses on identifying and responding to the needs of children and families impacted by parental and caregiver substance use. Participants will learn the effects of substance use, mental health, trauma, and co-occurring disorders on children and families, The impact of personal and agency bias and stigma will be discussed and participants will leave with an understanding of the importance of a family-centered approach.
